Weight Lifting Team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the GNDU Weight lifting Inter-College Championship held at GNDU campus, Amritsar on Oct. 31, 2018. The college team put up a splendid show and defeated HMV College, Jalandhar, GNDU Campus, Amritsar and SD College, Dinanagar.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. The Principal added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV remains a forerunner in sports. Team members are Ms. Navjot Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Amanpreet Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Jyoti Bala, Chanpreet Kaur, Mandeep Kaur and Kajal.
Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, and Physical Education teachers, Ms. Savita Kumari, Gaganpreet Kaur & Rajdeep Kaur and other faculty members felicitated the players on their achievements.
