To seek divine blessings of the Almighty and give an auspicious start to the new year, BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised a special havan on 1st January, 2024. Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, were the Yajman on the occasion.
While seeking Divine Blessings, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia offered a prayer of thanks to God and wished for the peace, prosperity and happiness of every being and also hoped that the new year brings joy, good health, new hopes and possibilities and spiritual awakening in our lives. Praying for the unprecedented progress of the college, she reiterated her commitment to take it towards greater heights of glory.
Greeting the new year with an edifying address, Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, extended his best wishes to everyone and highlighted the significance of happiness, love, compassion, time, equanimity and perseverance in life.
The havan concluded with the recitation of Shanti Paath and a devotional song presented by the Department of Music. On this occasion, Dr. Pallavi Sethi, Principal, DAV Public School, Amritsar, members of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, enthusiastically participated in the havan and prayed for the progress, prosperity, and welfare of the college.
