NCC Air and Army Wing cadets of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised an awareness rally to commemorate the Martyrdom Day of Sardar Bhagat Singh, India’s legendary freedom fighter, by visiting Jallianwala Bagh on 22nd March, 2022. A total of thirty cadets visited the historical place and cleaned the statues of the legendary martyrs Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Udham Singh. During the visit, the cadets held various placards in their hands, highlighting the glory of the country’s martyrs.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia eulogised the courageous deeds performed by the Martyrs and hailed their invaluable contribution to the Indian freedom struggle, without which the country would not have attained its independence from the British rule. She also added that such visits foster the spirit of patriotism and responsibility among the youth of our nation. She concluded her speech by lauding the persistent efforts of the college NCC wing.
On this occasion, Lt.(Dr.) Amandeep Kaur and Ms. Akshika Aneja motivated the cadets to ensure their enthusiastic participation while accompanying them.
