Dr. Pushpinder Walia, Principal, BBK DAV College for Women has been elected as President, Sports Committee (Women), GNDU, for the session 2019-20 in Annual Sports Committee Meeting held on 13th Sept. 2019 at GNDU campus.
Expressing her gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu and the university authorities, Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that BBK DAV College has been winning the Overall Championship Trophy (Women) consecutively for the last 8 years and has also been the champion as well as 1st Runners-Up in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Trophy (Men & Women combined). In addition to this the college has made maximum contribution in the arena of sports amongst Women Colleges of GNDU.
Principal Dr. Walia ensured the Sports Committee that she would put in her best efforts and work hard for the promotion of sports and protecting the interests of players.
Prof (Dr.) Sukhdev Singh, Director of Sports, GNDU, Prof.( Dr.) Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, Registrar GNDU, Dr. Hardeep Singh, Dean Students Welfare, GNDU, Dr. Kanwar Mandeep Singh, Assistant Director Sports, GNDU and Principals from various colleges were present in the meeting.
Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, LMC, Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head Department of Physical Education along with staff of the college congratulated Dr. Walia on being elected as the President.
