NSS Units of BBK DAV College for Women organised a valedictory function to mark the finale of its 7 days camp. Chief Guest S. Lakhbir Singh, AIG CID, Guest of Honour Mr. Sanjay Joshi, Coordinator Nanhi Chhaan and S. Dilbag Singh, team member of Nanhi Chhaan marked their presence for the occasion.
During the function, a documentary made by Department of Multimedia, covering various activities of the 7 days camp, was displayed. NSS volunteers Diksha Mehra, Akshita Malhotra and Garima Aggarwal were awarded the Best Camper, Best Hard Working Camper and Lens Woman titles respectively. Certificates were also distributed to the volunteers who participated in the camp. Shreya Mehra recited a poem depicting the theme of communitarian approach in life. Akshita Malhotra shared her experience of the entire camp. A special song was also sung glorifying the communitarian spirit of NSS.
Addressing the volunteers, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia lauded their efforts and emphasised upon the need and importance of giving back to our community. She further added that real joy lies in serving others and making the world around us a better place to live in. The dignitaries appreciated the volunteers’ humanitarian approach. NSS Programme Officer Ms. Surbhi Sethi summed up all the activities of the entire camp and encouraged the volunteers to maintain the compassionate spirit with dedication not only in NSS but real life as well.
Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman (LMC) proposed a vote of thanks and felicitated the volunteers for their tremendous efforts. On this occasion, Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal, Dr. Paramjit Kaur, NSS Programme Officer Ms. Priya Sharma and other team members namely Dr. Harminder Singh, Dr. Sahil Gupta, Mr. Palwinder Singh, Ms. Neha Sehgal, Ms. Ravinderpal Kaur, Ms. Priyanka Chug and Ms. Swarika were also present.
