BBK DAV College for Women organised a March Past from the college premises to Novelty Chowk, Lawrence Road, Amritsar on the auspicious occasion of 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. NSS and NCC Units along with Department of Physical Education participated in this March Past. The main motive of the March Past was to highlight and instill the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in the lives of all. Various hoardings were also at display spreading the message of mutual love, truthfulness, brotherhood, and righteousness.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia urged the participants to follow in the footsteps of the saintly figure, Guru Ji, to live a virtuous life. Expressing a deep sense of gratitude, she said that all of us are very fortunate to be a part of this historic event.
150 NSS and NCC volunteers enthusiastically participated in this event guided by the faculty members on their way to Novelty Chowk. The faculty members namely Mrs. Poonam Kohli, Dean Discipline, Mrs. Aditi, NCC Caretaker, Mrs. Surbhi Sethi, NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Palwinder Singh, Ms. Sumera Chhabra, Ms. Ravinderpal Kaur, Mrs. Neha Sehgal, Ms. Swarika and Ms. Priyanka were present to lead the participants.
