Judo Team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the GNDU Boxing Inter-College Championship held at GNDU Campus, Amritsar on Nov. 24, 2019. The college team put up a splendid show and defeated Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, LKC Jalandhar, Khalsa Physical Education College, (Heir) Amritsar, Khalsa College, Amritsar, HMV College, Jalandhar, GNDU Campus, Amritsar, PCMSD College, Jalandhar, S.S Education College, Jalandhar and SR Govt. College, Amritsar.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and Mr. Kundan Lal, Asstt. Director, MSME Development Institute, Ludhiana and guests congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. The Principal added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV remains a forerunner in sports. Team members are Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, Ms. Jaskaranpreet Kaur, Ms. Nirmal Kaur, Ms. Ravneet Kaur, Ms. Gurpinder Kaur and Ms. Manpreet Kaur. Ms. Gurpinder Kaur participated in All India Intervarsity Judo Championship held at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh from Dec. 22 to 25, 2019.
Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education along with Mrs. Amandeep Kaur, Ms. Savita Kumari and Mrs. Gursharan Kaur felicitated the players on their achievements.
