Handball Team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the GNDU Handball Inter-College Championship held at GNDU campus, Amritsar on Oct. 11 to 12, 2018. The college team put up a splendid show and defeated Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, GNDU Campus, Amritsar and KMV College, Jalandhar.
Eight players of the college Ms. ANUBIR KAUR, RAJBIR KAUR, SANDEEP KAUR, JASWINDER KAUR, SARITA, KAJAL, KAMINI and KIRANJIT KAR participated in All India Handball Intervarsity Championship held at Jind (Haryana) from Nov. 02 to 05, 2018.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. The Principal added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV remains a forerunner in sports. Team members are Ms. ANUBIR KAUR, RAJBIR KAUR, SANDEEP KAUR, JASWINDER KAUR, SARITA, KAJAL, KAMINI, KIRANJIT KAUR, ANITA, SHAMMA, GURPINDER KAUR, MANTINA, RAMANDEEP KAUR, HARMANDEEP KAUR, NASEEB KAUR and BHAGYASHREE RAY.
Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, and Physical Education teachers Ms. Savita Kumari, Rajdeep Kaur and other faculty members felicitated the players on their achievements.
