Nearly 1000 students of NSS, NCC and Sports Department of BBK DAV College for Women organized First Respondent Program in collaboration with 108 helpline Ambulance Service, Ziqitza Health Care Ltd and Sonika Executive. Dr. Mohinderpal Singh, in-charge of 108 Ambulance Service apprised the students about the crucial first-aid to be given to the sick or injured before the arrival of Ambulance. Mr. Jaswinder Singh, Training Officer gave practical training regarding first-aid to be administered in cases of fainting, snake bite, hypoglycimia, choking, bleeding and fractures. CPR training was also given to volunteers.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated all the volunteers and teachers for their active participation in the programme. She also motivated them to use the training given during the event to help those in need.
Dr. Aditi Jain, NCC Caretaker, Mrs Sweety Bala, Head, Sports Department, Mrs. Surbhi Sethi and Ms. Priya, NSS Program Officers along with their team members were also present on the occasion.
