‘Graphic Dynamics’ the Annual Art Exhibition put up by the Applied Art Department of BBK DAV College for Women at Indian Academy of Fine Arts proved yet once again that art has the power not only to redefine, recreate and reinvent life but create life anew as well. On exhibition were the class projects of around 50 students. The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Secretary, Local Khalsa College, Vice President Bhartiya Janta Party and Chairman of the Academy. Present on the occasion were experts, connoisseurs and art lovers of the holy city eg. S. Mohinderjit Singh, renowned architect and LMC Member of BBK DAV, Mr. Grover and Mr. Chamak, General Secretaries of Academy, Mr. Gopal Kiroriwal, Mr. Kulwant Singh, Mr. Narender, Mr. Atul Mehra, reputed artists and Dr. Manchanda, member LMC. Students of PG Diploma in Applied Art, BA in Applied Art and BFA gave an uninhibited outlet to their multi-dimensional creativity through 35 canvas layouts in A4 size and 27 big size canvases. They have created life with various mediums like Acrylic colour, pen & ink as well as water colours. There was huge applause for the artworks from all the visitors including art-lovers, experts as well as commoners. Behind this great show were the invisible hands of college Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, Prof. Sundeep Zutshi, Head, Department of Commercial Art and his dedicated team.
