BBK DAV College for Women organised DBT Sponsored Guest Lecture series on the topic “Stereochemistry and Spectroscopy”. The resource person for the Guest lecture was Professor Dr. P.S. Kalsi (Retd.), Department of Chemistry, College of Basic Science, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Moreover, his big achievements like the award for Best Teacher in Chemistry at 28th Gujarat Science Congress held at North Gujarat University motivated the students to perform better.
Dr. Kalsi had a lively interaction with the students of B.Sc Medical, B.Sc Non-Medical and B.Sc Biotechnology regarding the structures and stereochemical modes of various isomers. He also made the vision of students very clear by using models and well prepared PowerPoint presentation.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia honoured the Guest with a memento and thanked him for the informative lecture. She also congratulated Dr. Poonam Khullar, Head of Department and other faculty members- Mrs. Vandana Gupta, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, Ms. Ravneet Kaur, Mrs. Lavanya Tandon, Mrs. Amandeep Kaur and Ms. Amandeep Kaur for the success of the lecture.
