College Sportswoman wins Bronze Medal in First World Beach and Second Open International Pencak Silat Championship

BBK DAV College for Women extended a warm welcome to Jasjeet Kaur, college student who won Bronze Medal in Malaysia Open International Pencak Silat Championship and First World Beach Championship held at Patong Beach, Phuket, Thailand. Twenty countries participated in these championships namely Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, England, Kirgizstan, Pakistan, Bahrain, Japan, Philippines, China, Indonesia etc. This is a great achievement for the college as well as the country. Earlier, she had also won Gold and Silver Medals in All India Zonal Competition.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, LMC congratulated the faculty of the Department of Physical Education and said that the college always supports and encourages the students who make the country and institution proud. Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor, Central University, Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Ramsharan Gaur, Chairman, Delhi Library Board and Dr. Babita Gaur, Librarian and Information Officer also lauded the efforts of teachers and students.
