NSS unit of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar organized an interactive talk with Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Ambassador Sandhu has had an illustrious career in Indian Foreign Services and is one of the most experienced Indian diplomats on US Affairs.
In her welcome address, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia lauded Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu’s accomplishments, emphasizing his significant contribution to the city and the entire nation, garnering recognition on a global level. She said that it is pragmatic to learn through the experiences of esteemed individuals like Ambassador Sandhu; she reiterated the role of education as a key tool for empowering women and enabling them to gain financial independence.
Ambassador Sandhu, in his address, provided insights into his career in the United States under two different administrations led by Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden. He inspired the young students to follow their dreams relentlessly, motivating them to recognize their potential. He added that there are tremendous opportunities in the world, urging the students to explore such prospects and avail them appropriately.
Dr. Simardeep, Dean, Academics, gave a vote of thanks, while Dr. Priyanka Bassi, Associate Dean, Youth Welfare, conducted the stage. The session was attended by a large number of students and faculty members of the college.
