The R&D Cell under the aegis of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised a workshop on ‘Research Paper Writing & Selecting Journals’. The objective of the workshop was to enhance research aptitude among faculty members and students while encouraging ethical academic practices.
The session was conducted by Dr. Sukhwinder Kaur Bhullar, Senior Research Scientist, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, St. Boniface Hospital, Albrechtsen Research Centre, University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Bhullar shared her extensive expertise and guided participants on various aspects of academic writing and publication.
During the workshop, she elaborated on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in research and academic writing. She emphasized the significance of maintaining originality, avoiding plagiarism, and adopting responsible practices while using AI tools. She further highlighted best practices for integrating artificial intelligence into research and teaching methodologies.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation and active interaction, reflecting the keen interest of attendees in strengthening their research capabilities.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia appreciated the efforts of the R&D Cell and IIC for organizing such a meaningful academic initiative. She stated that such workshops play a pivotal role in cultivating a strong research culture among faculty and students.
Dr. Rashmi Kalia, Head, Department of Botany, Dr. Shaweta Mohan, Head, Department of Physics, Dr. Poonam Khullar, Head, Department of Chemistry & other faculty members of Department of Sciences were also present on the occasion.
