The NSS Unit of BBK DAV College for Women organised a free eye check-up camp on the occasion of World Health Day, with the objective of promoting awareness about eye care and encouraging regular screenings among students and staff.
A medical team from ASG Eye Hospital, comprising Mr. Sunil Kumar, Mr. Sumit, Mr. Sonu Kumar, and Ms. Gurinder, conducted detailed eye examinations during the camp. The specialists offered professional consultation and valuable guidance on maintaining optimal eye health. A total of 128 students and staff members were examined during the camp. Complimentary check-up coupons were also provided to facilitate further consultation and treatment, if necessary.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit, highlighting their continued dedication to social responsibility and student welfare. She remarked that such initiatives not only deliver essential healthcare services but also nurture a spirit of compassion and service among students.
Dr. Surbhi Dhir, Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal and Ms. Akshika Aneja, NSS Programme Officers, were also present on the occasion.
