BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised an art exhibition titled “Art Beat” in collaboration with KT Kala Museum, Amritsar. The event provided a vibrant platform for budding artists to showcase their creativity and artistic expressions through a variety of mediums.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, District Education Officer, who appreciated the creativity and innovative ideas reflected in the artworks displayed by the students and encouraged the young artists to continue exploring art as a powerful medium of expression and communication.
The exhibition featured a diverse range of artworks created by talented students, including oil paintings, acrylic paintings, poster colour works, mixed media compositions, and graphic advertisements. The themes of the artworks ranged from emotions, nature, social awareness, and spirituality to imaginative and contemporary ideas. Creative pieces such as The Gossip Girls, Unspoken Love, Awakening, Goddess of Time, Whispering Wings, Royalty, Threads of Connection, and The Secret Aquarium attracted the attention of visitors and reflected the artistic depth of the young creators.
Students also showcased works related to social advertisements, magazine covers, hoarding advertisements, and graphic design, demonstrating their versatility in both traditional and digital art forms.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, in her address, congratulated the students and faculty for organising such a meaningful exhibition. She stated that platforms like these encourage students to express their imagination and creativity while developing confidence and artistic sensibility. She also appreciated the collaboration with KT Kala Museum for supporting young artists and strengthening the cultural environment of the institution.
Mr. Brajesh Jolly, Director, KT Kala Museum, and Mr. Rajesh Raina, Secretary, were also present on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the college in nurturing artistic talent among students.
