Track Cycling team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the GNDU Inter-College Track Cycling Championship held at GNDU Campus, Amritsar on Nov. 16, 2018. The College team put up a splendid show and defeated HMV College, Jalandhar and GNDU Campus.
Three players of the college Ms. ELANGBAN CHOUBA DEVI, SHUSHIKALA DURGAPRASHAD and KOMAL DESHMUKH participated in All India Intervarsity Championship held at Patiala from Nov. 09 to 12, 2018 and the team won championship with 5 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal and Two 4th positions in different events.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Team members are Ms. SHUSHIKALA DURGAPRASHAD, KOMAL DESHMUKH, MEHARPREET, ELANGBAN CHOUBA DEVI, MANJU BALA, NIRMALA BADHU, RAJESH KUMARI, HARPREET KAUR and SONAL.
Dr. Simardeep, Dean Academics, Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, and Physical Education teachers Ms. Savita Kumari, Gaganpreet Kaur & Rajdeep Kaur felicitated the players on their achievements.
