BBK DAV College for Women organized Holy Havan to commemorate the 136th Foundation Day of DAV. Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee, graced the occasion as Mukhya Yajman. The pious mantras chanted during the Havan Yajya spread the vibes of positivity in the surroundings.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia welcomed the Chief Guest and the Guests and in her address said that life has two wings- one is practical and other is spiritual. She said these two aspects balance the life of every person. She then highlighted that DAV movement has been successful because it believes in action to bring about change in society with resolute will power and determination. She further said that thoughts are everything as positive thoughts help in building the society. She also congratulated the students, faculty and members of non-teaching staff for attending the Havana and making the event a success. She further highlighted that Vedas stand for truth and common good.
Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor congratulated and applauded the efforts of the Principal and staff for organizing this special Havan Yajya. On this occasion, Colonel Ved Mitter, Sh. Rakesh Mehra, Sh. Sandeep Ahuja graced the occasion with their benign presence. Mr. Vijay Mehak sang beautiful ‘Bhajan‘. Dr. Anita Narendra conducted the stage. The event was attended by the members of Arya Yuvati Sabha, the office bearers, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.
