Baseball team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the champion’s position in GNDU Inter College Baseball Championship held at GNDU Campus from 4th to 6th January, 2016. BBK DAV won the position by defeating HMV College, Jalandhar with a score of 13-0, K.M.V. College, Jalandhar with a score of 7-6 and Khalsa College, Amritsar with a score of 11-0.
Seven players i.e. Gagandeep, Harpreet, Mandeep, Hardeep, Bandna, Simrandep and Divya have been selected for the camp for All India Intervarsity which is going to be held at Chandigarh from 16th to 20th January, 2016. Other team members are Priya, Neha, Jasmeet, Lakhbir, Rajbir, Tania, Asha, Baljit and Jasdeep.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, along with Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head of Sports Department, felicitated the students and motivated them to maintain the good position in future as well. Ms. Rajwant Kaur of Sports Department and Baseball Coach Ms. Daljit Kaur congratulated the students for their achievement.
