NSS Unit of the college visited IVE School and Guru Ramdas Kusht Ashram

NSS units of BBK DAV College for Women visited IVE (Initiative for Viable Education) School and Guru Ramdas Kusht Ashram. The visit aimed at inculcating the spirit of community service among the volunteers.

The volunteers distributed soaps, clothes, food items to the 130 families living in Kusht Ashram. Simarti, Avni, Palak, and Harleen Bhatia of B.Com and B.A. organized a dance workshop at the IVE School.  Diksha, Muskan and Vanshika organised a quiz competition. Tamanna, Ritika and Simran of M.Com taught the art of making cards by using organic paper. Nearly 120 notebooks made by the Kora Kagaaz club of the college were distributed at IVE School.

On this occasion, Principal of the College Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the NSS Unit and NSS Programme officers of the college and encouraged them to carry out such endeavors in the near future also.

On this occasion, NSS Program officer Ms. Surbhi Sethi encouraged the students to take part in various activities to be conducted as the part of 7 days NSS Camp with full zeal. The other team members present were Assistant Professors namely Ms. Swarika, Dr. Sahil Gupta, Ms. Ravinderpal Kaur and Ms. Priyanak Chugh.
