BBK DAV College for women organised a sacred havan to seek the blessings of God on the inaugural day of its 7 days NSS Camp. The dignitaries, who bestowed their blessings upon the NSS volunteers, included Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman (LMC) , Chief Guest Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Guest of Honour Dr. Robin Tuli , Sh. Ved Mitter, Sh. Mukesh Anand , Mrs. Balbir Kaur Bedi, Sh. Sanjeev Ahuja and Atul Mehra.
While addressing the volunteers, Dr. Rajesh Kumar laid emphasis upon the importance of community service in a person’s life. As a responsible human being and citizen, it is of utmost importance to be socially conscientious in this world. He lauded the endeavours of the unit members to give back to the society.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia felicitated the NSS Unit on organising this camp. Emphasising upon the need of giving back to our community, she said that community service has the power to empower others. She further added that these kinds of humanitarian efforts in the form of donations and kindness permeate the spirit of humanity and bring us together.
Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor gave vote of thanks for organising this 7 days camp. On this occasion, Dr. Anita Narender, Mrs. Renu Vashisth, Dr. Shelly Jaggi, Ms. Kiran Gupta, Dr. Shweta Mohan, Dr. Paramjit Kaur, Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal, Dr. Gauri Chawla, NSS Programme Officers Ms. Surbhi Sethi , Ms. Priya Sharma, Ms. Priyanka Chug, Ms. Neha Sehgal, Dr. Sahil Gupta, Mr. Palwinder Singh, Ms. Rawinderpal Kaur were also present.
