Department of Chemistry, BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar organised a DBT-sponsored guest lecture on “Nanochemistry – a science beyond barriers”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. M.S. Bakshi, Assistant Professor, Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Wisconsin, Greenbay, USA for the students of B.Sc. Medical, Non Medical, Biotech and BA.
Dr. Bakshi focussed on the importance, applications as well as implications of Nanochemistry. Students were made aware about other interesting facts related to nano-technology.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia honoured the guest with a bouquet & memento and congratulated the faculty for organising this seminar. Dr. Poonam Khullar, Head, Department of Chemistry, Mrs. Vandana Gupta, Mrs. Anu Saini, Ms. Rajpreet Kaur, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, Ms. Ravneet Kaur and Ms. Divya were also present during the lecture.
