Artistic Gymnastics team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the GNDU Inter-College Artistic Gymnastics Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar on Oct 31, 2018. The College team put up a splendid show and defeated Khalsa College Amritsar, Govt. College Gurdaspur, S.S.M College Dinanagar and HMV College Jalandhar.
Two players of the college, Ms. LOVELY and KAMINI SINGH have been selected for all India Intervarsity going to be held at Chandigarh.
Mr. Sachin Gupta (NRI), Mr. Vipin Bhasin LMC member and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Team members are Ms. LOVELY, KAMINI SINGH, ARCHANA, SEEMA and KHUSHBOO.
Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, Ms. Savita Kumari, Gaganpreet Kaur, Rajdeep Kaur, Physical Education teachers, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
