BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organized a special Havan Yajna to mark the birth anniversary of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati ji and Rishi Bodhotsav. Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Committee, and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia graced the occasion as Yajmans.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia expressed gratitude to the Almighty for the successful completion of the Havan Yajna. She acquainted the students with the life and teachings of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji, emphasizing that the foundation of women’s education and empowerment became possible due to this visionary reforms. She stated that great personalities like Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji leave an everlasting impact on society through their noble deeds.
Shri Inderpal Arya, Member, DAV CMC and President, Arya Samaj, Lakshmansar, motivated the students to lead a life guided by Dharma. He urged everyone to follow the path shown by Maharshi Dayanand and to live a righteous life.
On the occasion of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji birth anniversary, various competitions such as Vedic Quiz, Bhajan Singing, and Poster Making were organized. Prizes were distributed to the participating and winning students. The Department of Music captivated the audience with a soulful rendition of the devotional hymn.
Sh. Rakesh Mehra, Sh. Deepak Mahajan, Sh. Gaurav Talwar, Sh. Pradeep Malik, Arya Samaj, Shakti Nagar, Smt. Renu Ghai, and Shri Anil Vinayak, Arya Samaj, Lawrence Road, along with college office bearers and students, were also present during the event. The Havan Yajna concluded with the distribution of Rishi Langar.
