BBK DAV COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, AMRITSAR OBSERVES VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2025

BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from 28th October to 3rd November 2025 with great enthusiasm and commitment, in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Government of India. The week aimed to promote integrity, transparency, and accountability among students, staff, and the larger community.

The observance began with an Integrity Pledge, in which faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students participated with sincerity.

Throughout the week, the college organized various activities including a Workshop and Seminar on Media Vigilance and Corruption, attended by 72 participants, to highlight the media’s critical role in ensuring transparency and responsible reporting. A Poster Making Competition was also organised, in which the students creatively depicted themes of integrity and anti-corruption.

Students and faculty also engaged in outreach activities, distributing awareness pamphlets and banners, conducting an Awareness Lecture and Pledge Ceremony at Government Middle School, Mallawali, and participating in a Walkathon with around 100 students to spread anti-corruption messages across the city. An Awareness Gram Sabha was also held at Mallawali village to encourage ethical governance at the grassroots level.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia highlighted that such initiatives strengthen the ethical foundation of young learners and inspire them to become responsible citizens. She further said that the college remains committed to upholding morals of righteousness and fostering a culture of transparency through continuous awareness and community engagement.

The week-long observance concluded on a positive note, foregrounding the college’s continued commitment to fostering honesty, accountability, and social responsibility.
