The Department of Cosmetology of BBK DAV College for Women organized a Workshop on Advanced Makeup Techniques for students of B.Voc. Cosmetology in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), an initiative under the Ministry of Education.
Ms. Khushboo Nanda, Director, Legal Unisex Salon and Beauty Academy, inspired students by highlighting the role of entrepreneurship in empowering women and elevating their status in society. Mr. Arvinder Pal Singh, Marketing Head, Legal Unisex Salon and Beauty Academy, emphasized the importance of skill development in the rapidly growing field of cosmetology. A team of expert makeup artists from the academy conducted a live bridal makeup demonstration, providing students with practical, hands-on experience in professional industry techniques.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia applauded the efforts of the department and encouraged both students and faculty to actively engage in such creative and skill-enhancing workshops that expand practical knowledge and strengthen professional competence. The workshop marked a significant step toward integrating entrepreneurial and technical expertise into the cosmetology curriculum, leaving students highly motivated and better equipped to meet future challenges. Dr. Beenu Kapoor, Dr. Sweety Bala, Ms. Anchal, and Ms. Vijeyta from the Department of Cosmetology were also present during the event.
