BBK DAV COLLEGE FOR WOMEN ORGANISES A SPECIAL VEDIC HAVAN YAJNA TO COMMEMORATE THE SACRED BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF MAHATMA HANSRAJ JI

BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised a special Vedic Havan Yajna dedicated to commemorate the sacred birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj ji. The event was graced by the presence of Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, who served as the chief yajman, alongside the college Principal, Dr. Pushpinder Walia.

In her address, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia remembered Mahatma Hansraj ji as the epitome of selfless service and sacrifice and  stated that his birth anniversary reminds us of his great teachings, ideals and principles, which he laid down for the nation’s education and freedom. She emphasised that due to the tireless efforts of souls like Mahatma Hansraj ji, the DAV organisation has successfully established itself as the largest non-governmental educational network in the country today, with more than 1000 DAV institutions nationwide.

Sh. Indrapal Arya, President, Arya Samaj, Laxmansar, and Member, Managing Committee, New Delhi, began his address by congratulating the Principal on the successful organization of the havan. While enlightening the students about the significance of the yajna, he remarked that the Arya Samaj has always strived to dispel misconceptions prevalent in the country and to propagate knowledge.

Lastly, Advocate Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor expressed his gratitude to all those present and inspired the students to remain steadfast on the path of progress in every circumstance of life.

Mr. Narendra Kumar and Mr. Arun Kumar, Department of Music, created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere by presenting melodious and devotional hyms. The proceedings were skillfully anchored by Dr. Anita Narendra, Head, Department of Hindi.

The programme featured the special presence of Mr. Rakesh Mehra, Mr. Atul Mehra, and Mr. Vimal Kapoor, Arya Samaj, Shakti Nagar, Mr. Anil Vinayak and Mr. Harish Kumar, Arya Samaj, Lawrence Road, as well as distinguished guests, namely Mrs. Bela Kapoor, Mr. Gagan Chopra, and Mrs. Ashula Chopra. On this occasion, all members of the Arya Yuvati Sabha, office bearers, and students, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, were present.
