BBK DAV College for Women held grand celebration of 550th Prakash Purb of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with great zeal and enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia along with the college staff recited ‘Gurbani’ for the progress and prosperity of the College.
While addressing the staff and the students, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji preached the values of oneness, love, peace, hope and brotherhood. She further exhorted the students to follow the path shown by Guru Ji. She added that this event has a great historical significance as it has led to the opening of a corridor of peace and hope. This Prakash Purb is celebrated globally.
Amidst the holy chanting of Gurbani and Shabad Kirtan, college staff and students were served with ‘Preeti Bhoj‘. On this occasion, Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal, member, LMC and Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neera Sharma were also present.
