BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar organised Havan Yajya to celebrate the festival of ‘Janamashtami’. The Havan was presided by Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, LMC and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia. Swami Omkarananda and his pupil Sh. Vivekanand graced the Havan with their presence.
Welcoming the guests, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia exhorted the students to follow the path of truth and righteousness. While addressing the students Swami Omkaranand told the significance of ‘Gaytri Mantra’ and further said to observe control over mind to attain success. Sacrifice and surrender are the pillars for leading a meaningful life.
Sh. Vivekanand said that character is the best religion, so, one should be disciplined and morally upright in one’s day to day life. Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, LMC presented vote of thanks.
S. Mohinderjit Singh, Colonel Ved Mittal, Mrs. Balbir Kaur Bedi, faculty members and students were also the part of the occasion.
