BBK DAV College for Women concluded seven day NSS camp with a splendid valedictory ceremony. Prof. Rajesh Kumar, NSS coordinator & Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University was the chief guest for the event.
While welcoming the chief guest, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that BBK DAV has always been at the forefront for community services. NSS helps the student to grow individually and also as a group. Volunteering for various tasks under NSS activities allows students to become confident, develop leadership skills, and learn about different people from different walks of life. She congratulated Ms. Surbhi Sethi and Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal, NSS Programme Officers for their hard work and making the camp a success.
While addressing the volunteers, Prof. Rajesh Kumar said that the welfare of an individual depends on the welfare of the society. Therefore, NSS has always worked for the benefit and upliftment of the whole society.
Towards the end of the programme, Dr. Anita Narendra, Dean, Community Services, read out the camp report, highlighting the activities which were performed by volunteers during the camp. Ms. Diya Chopra, President, NSS College unit was awarded with the best camper award. All the campers were awarded with certificates, medals and badges as well.
