BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised a valedictory function of the seven-day NSS camp with a special Havan Yajna in the presence of Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, and the chief guest for the occasion Professor Dr. Rajesh Kumar, NSS Programme Officer, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
Addressing the volunteers on the valedictory function, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia underscored the profound importance of contributing to the community service. She added that the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You,” draws its inspiration from the foundational principles of Arya Samaj. She also appreciated Mrs. Surbhi Sethi, Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal, and the volunteers for their dedication towards the community service.
During the function, the title of Best Camper was conferred upon NSS volunteer Smile Mahajan, while the title of Most Hard-Working Camper was bestowed upon NSS volunteer Preeti. Moreover, certificates were distributed to acknowledge and commend all the volunteers who actively participated in the camp.
On this occasion, members of Arya Samaj, namely, Mr. Jawahar Lal Mehra, Mr. Atul Mehra, Mrs. Renu Ghai, Mrs. Balbir Kaur Bedi, as well as Dr. Pallavi Sethi, Principal, DAV Public School, Dr. Anita Narendra, Dean Community Development Initiatives, Mrs. Surbhi Sethi & Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal, NSS Programme officers, along with NSS & Unnat Bharat Abhiyan team members, Dr. Sahil, Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dr. Sushil Kumar, Prof. Akshika and Prof. Hardeep Singh, were present.
