BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised a seminar on “Vision to Venture: Turning Innovative Ideas into Ventures”. The guest speakers for the occasion were Ms. Himani Arora, who was the former chairperson of FICCI FLO Amritsar, and Mr. Gagandeep Singh, Team Leader, Power BI Vertical at AOSC Technologies.
In her speech, Ms. Himani Arora underscored the importance of innovation in business and entrepreneurship as it allows individuals to identify new opportunities, solve problems and bring new products and services to the market. In addition to this, Mr. Gagandeep Singh, while addressing the students, said that innovation and creativity are a prerequisite for entrepreneurs to stay relevant in an ever- changing world. He further reflected upon his entrepreneurial journey and the obstacles encountered by him on his way to success.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, in her address, motivated the students to believe in the power of creative ideas as creativity is the cornerstone of sustained growth and prosperity. She also felicitated the Department of Commerce on the successful conduct of the programme.
