Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, was conferred with a special honour by the District Football Association, Amritsar, and the Rugby Association, Punjab, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the promotion of sports and encouragement of young women athletes.
The honour was presented by prominent sports personalities including Mr. Swaran Singh Sandhu, President, Northern Railway Union; Mr. Pardeep, Secretary, District Football Association, Amritsar, and Mr. Parvinder Singh, Secretary, Rugby Association Punjab. The recognition highlighted the consistent efforts of Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia in promoting a vibrant sports culture and empowering young women to actively participate in various sports.
Expressing her gratitude, Principal Dr. Walia stated that the recognition reflects the collective efforts of the college community in promoting holistic education. She remarked that sports play a vital role in shaping discipline, teamwork, and leadership among students. She further added that BBK DAV College for Women remains committed to providing students with platforms that help them grow physically, mentally, and socially.
