PG Department of Commerce and Business administration of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar organized a Two days workshop on “Basics of Stock Market”. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and Head, PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Dr. Neenu K. Malhotra extended a formal welcome to the guests with saplings.
On the first day of the workshop, eminent CA, Mr. Davinder Singh was the resource person. He enlightened the students about stock market, its working and processes for trading in stock exchange. He imparted knowledge on current scenario of stock market and career opportunities available therein. It was an informative session which provided the students conceptual and practical clarity on the topic.
On the second day, Mr. Bharat Bahl, Cluster Head, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, along with his team-Mr. Jagdeep Singh, RM (ICICI Pru MF), Mr. Vishal Khurana, BDS, Financial Services and Mr. Ravinder, BDS, Financial Services, was present to enlighten the students regarding working of stock markets and importance of mutual funds in making right investment decisions at the right time. Deep insight was given on the topic with illustrative examples. It was an interactive session and queries were answered by the resource person in a lucid manner. Dr. Anjana Bedi and Mr. Deepak Khullar presented the vote of thanks. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the department on its efforts in arranging such informative sessions. HOD Dr. Neenu K. Malhotra, members of commerce faculty and students from B.Com Sem VI and B.Voc classes were present during the workshop.
