BBK DAV College for Women concluded its Ved Prachar Saptah with a special Vedic Havan. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and Advocate Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Committee, served as Yajmans for the Havan Yajna. The week-long Programme featured various competitions, including Bhajan Gayan, Poster Making, Painting, and Kavya Path, along with a workshop on Havan Prashikshan, culminating in the presentation of certificates to the winners following the Havan.
In her welcome address, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia emphasized that the college celebrates Ved Prachar Saptah annually to impart Vedic values to students, and said that amidst rapid modernization, spiritual beliefs can offer peace and stability, aiding individuals in coping with life’s challenges. Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor highlighted that Arya Samaj focuses on societal welfare and broader interests rather than ritualistic practices.
The event was attended by members of Arya Samaj, including Sh. Inderpal Arya, Sh. Rakesh Mehra, Sh. Sandeep Ahuja, Sh. Anil Vinayak, Sh. Atul Mehra, Sh. Vimal Kapoor, as well as Mrs. Balbir Kaur Bedi, a renowned citizen, along with students and members of staff.
