Three talented students from BBK DAV College for Women represented Punjab at the prestigious Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, held from 10th to 12th January, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This national-level event, organized by the Department of Youth Affairs under the leadership of Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Labour and Employment and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, provided a unique platform for young minds to engage with policymakers and global leaders, contributing their innovative ideas towards shaping Viksit Bharat.
Among the 3,000 dynamic and motivated youth across the country, selected through a rigorous merit-based, multi-level selection process, three students Gurjot Kaur, (BAJMC Sem-IV), Jasleen Kaur (B.Sc. IT Sem-IV), Mehakdeep Kaur (B.Com Sem-VI) of our college made it to the final stage, proudly representing Punjab. The selection process included an online Viksit Bharat Quiz, an essay competition, and a State Vision Deck Challenge where participants presented their ideas before leadership moderators. Students not only excelled in their respective tracks but also had the honor of meeting Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
While felicitating the students and faculty, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that selection of our students amongst the young best minds of the India reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment of the students as well as the institution towards the nation’s progress.
