To celebrate 75 years of NCC, the NCC wing of BBK DAV College for Women initiated a cleanliness drive under Puneet Sagar Abhyaan at Taran Wala bridge canal, Amritsar. Under this drive, cadets of 1 Punjab Girls Battalion picked plastic bags from the surrounding areas of canal and also raised awareness regarding the harmful effects of plastic amongst the locals.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia applauded the efforts of the entire NCC wing of the college, and the faculty members Lt. (Dr.) Amandeep Kaur and Dr. Sahil Gupta, for putting in so much of hard work and making this cleanliness drive a success. She said that college has always been at the forefront for sensitizing society regarding environment protection and preservation and will continue with its efforts in the future also. Nodal officer Dr. Shelly Jaggi also accompanied the cadets in this drive.
