BBK DAV College for Women organised a special Vedic Havna Yajna to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Anand Swami Ji, and offer a tribute to his noble ideals and teachings. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and Advocate Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, served as the Yajmans in the havan.
In her address, Principal Dr. Walia paid a solemn tribute to Mahatma Anand Swami Ji and Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji. While reflecting upon the life of Mahatma Anand Swami, Principal Dr. Walia said that the key goal of his life was to propagate Vedic culture. She added that he was a great supporter of women education and empowerment. She further stated that BBK DAV College for Women is always committed to his ideals, and further apprised all present with the latest college achievements, stating that the primary aim of the DAV institutions is to impart value-based education, so as to turn students into noble and responsible citizens.
Shri Inderpal Arya, President, Arya Samaj, Shakti Nagar, talked of the legacy of Maharishi Dayanand Ji, Mahatma Anand Swami Ji, and Lala Lajpat Rai, as well as their contribution to the Arya Samaj movement and the greater cause of humanity.
Advocate Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, congratulated Principal Dr. Walia and the college staff for successfully organizing the event. On this occasion, Dr. Arvind Sharma, Member, Local Advisory Committee, members of Arya Samaj Mr. Rakesh Mehra, Mr. Sandeep Ahuja, Mr. and Mrs. Harish Oberoi, Mr. Anil Vinayak, Mr. Arun Vinayak, Mrs. Kiran Sodhi, along with college office bearers and students, participated in the event.
