BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, fervently celebrated International Day of Democracy. The event was graced by Chief Judicial Magistrate Sh. Amardeep Singh as the Chief Guest.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia warmly welcomed the dignitaries and emphasized that people are the true essence of democracy, urging every individual to exercise their right to vote with awareness, sensitivity, and responsibility.
In his address, Chief Guest Sh. Amardeep Singh emphasized that awareness of one’s rights is essential for their protection, and added that democracy fundamentally revolves around citizens having a voice in governance.
The programme was also graced by volunteers from the District Legal Services Authority, guided by Mr. Sharad Vashisht, Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority and Coordinator of LAVA NGO. The volunteers actively engaged with students, sensitizing them about their democratic rights and responsibilities.
