BBK DAV College for Women successfully organised a valedictory function to mark the conclusion of the six-day AICTE-sponsored ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Artificial Intelligence: Concepts, Applications and Challenges.” Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Bala, Dean, College Development Council, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia expressed sincere gratitude to the dignitaries and resource persons for their valuable contributions to the programme. Congratulating the participants on the successful completion of the FDP, she highlighted that the initiative would empower educators with innovative pedagogical strategies, contemporary knowledge, and renewed enthusiasm to advance teaching and research practices.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Bala emphasised that in today’s rapidly transforming academic environment, faculty members must embrace emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence with critical insight, ethical responsibility, and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
The programme comprised ten intensive technical sessions, complemented by article discussions and hands-on training conducted by eminent experts. These sessions provided participants with practical exposure and effective strategies to address the challenges of artificial intelligence while leveraging the opportunities presented by evolving technologies.
Mrs. Kamayani Anand, Dean, Academics, presented the FDP report, while Dr. Sushil Kumar, Coordinator of the programme, delivered the vote of thanks. Certificates were distributed to the participants by the Chief Guest, signifying the successful completion of the FDP.
Faculty members from various institutions across the country, along with members of the host college, participated enthusiastically, making the programme a resounding success.
