BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, celebrated NCC Day with great enthusiasm, in which the cadets of the Army Wing, 9 Punjab Battalion NCC, Amritsar, participated in a series of patriotic and community-oriented activities. To mark the occasion, the cadets planted saplings on the campus, symbolising their commitment to environmental conservation. They also took the NCC pledge, reaffirming their dedication to discipline, unity, and service to the nation.
Subedar Digvijay Kumar, JCO, 9 Punjab Battalion NCC, Amritsar, was the Chief Guest for the event. In his address, he motivated the cadets to continue contributing meaningfully to society.
While welcoming the guest, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia highlighted that BBK DAV College for Women has always prioritised holistic development and character-building among students, and that NCC plays a pivotal role in inculcating discipline, leadership, and patriotism.
Colonel J.J. Jadeja, Commanding Officer, 9 Punjab Battalion NCC also felicitated the cadets on this occasion. Lt. Dr. Amandeep Kaur (ANO), Dr. Aditi Jain, and Mr. Anurag Gupta were also present during the event.
