BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar organised a holy havan to seek divine blessings of the Almighty on the first day of the session 2019-20. Amidst the chanting of mantras and offering of ‘aahuties‘ in the sacred fire, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia along with the members of the teaching and non-teaching staff prayed for the progress, prosperity and well being of the college. Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman LMC was the chief guest on this occasion.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia saluted the contribution of Arya Samaj to society. She felt immensely happy to share the achievements of the college in the spheres of Academic, Co-academic and Sports. Ms. Harseerat of BA Sem-VI and Ms. Gurleen Kaur of BFA Sem-VIII brought laurels to the college by scoring First Positions in Guru Nanak Dev University Exams.
Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, LMC motivated and encouraged the teachers to work for the welfare of the students. He also blessed and commended BBK staff for their dedication towards duty. Along with the teaching & Non-teaching staff of the college, the havan was also attended by Sh. Mohinderjit Singh Ji, Mrs. Balbir Kaur Bedi, Mr. Sandeep Ahuja, Mr. Rakesh Mehra, Mr. Inderpal Arya Ji and Principal Mrs. Neera Sharma, who graced the occasion with their presence. The havan concluded with the distribution of ‘Prashad‘.
