A Blood Donation Camp was held by the Youth Red Cross Society, NSS Unit, NCC and Sports Department of BBK DAV College for Women. A team of doctors from Guru Nanak Dev Hospital conducted the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Manoj Kumar (Controller Examinations, GNDU), Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman LMC and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia falsified some myths regarding blood donation and extolled it as the greatest gift i.e. the gift of life itself to a dying person. She applauded the students for turning out in such a big number to donate blood. In all, 89 students from different departments came forward to donate blood.
