The PG Department of English at BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organized a Workshop on Creative Writing in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and aimed at nurturing their creative and literary talent.
Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Associate Professor, Business Ethics and Communication Group, IIM, Amritsar was the resource person for the workshop. He conducted an engaging session on various aspects of creative writing. Participants were also given hands-on exercises and personalized feedback to refine their writing skills. A number of interactive activities, such as free writing sessions and group storytelling were conducted, which allowed students to express their thoughts in innovative ways. These activities not only made the workshop lively and participatory but also gave students the freedom to explore and articulate their thoughts in innovative and meaningful ways.
In her address, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia emphasized the importance of creative expression in today’s academic and professional world. She commended the department for its efforts in providing students with a platform to explore their imaginative potential.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Ms. Jijina Gupta, Head, Department of English. Mr. Kirandeep Singh, Ms. Sumera Narang, Ms. Puja, Ms. Palak Gupta, Ms. Davinder Kaur and Ms. Saryu Arora from the Department of English, were also present on the occasion.
