National EduTrust of India honours BBK DAV College for Women and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia with Awards of Excellence in Fitness and Wellness

BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, proudly celebrated a moment of great pride and achievement as it received dual recognition from the National EduTrust of India for its unwavering commitment to health, wellness, and holistic development.
In a memorable awards ceremony hosted on the conclusion of the 30-Day Fitness Challenge organised in collaboration with National EduTrust of India, registered under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Dr. Pushpinder Walia, Principal, BBK DAV College, has been conferred with the prestigious Fittest Principal Award for exceptional dedication to health and well-being. The award recognises her active leadership throughout the 30-Day Fitness Challenge which served as an inspiration to both students and faculty.
While speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia emphasized the importance of making fitness a way of life. She added that BBK DAV always prioritize health and holistic well – being of its faculty and students.
Simultaneously, the college as an institution has been honoured with the Champion of Wellness & Vitality Award for successfully implementing the 30-Day Fitness Challenge and promoting a culture of physical and mental wellness on campus. The award highlights the steadfast efforts of BBK DAV College for Women toward fostering a healthier and more active lifestyle for all.
The awards ceremony was graced by Brigadier Harcharan Singh, VSM, Arjuna Awardee and Hockey Olympian, as the Chief Guest. In his address, Brigadier Singh emphasized the importance of adopting discipline as a core value. He stated that discipline forms the foundation for success in any field, as it enables individuals to remain focused, manage their time effectively and build habits that support long-term progress.
During the ceremony, appreciation letters were also presented to Dr. Sweety Bala, the Nodal Officer, and Dr. Amandeep Kaur, the Coordinator of the 30-Day Fitness Challenge, acknowledging their devoted efforts in coordinating and executing the program. All participating students were given certificates too.
Adding to the spirit of progress, the college proudly launched the poster of the Sustainability Excellence Award 2025, reiterating its commitment to sustainable practices and education. Mr. Samarth Sharma, CEO, National EduTrust of India acknowledged the various feats of the college for supporting health and fitness. Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Committee, extended his blessings to the Principal, faculty and students.
