BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, celebrated International Human Rights Day to raise awareness about human rights and responsibilities and promote a culture of respect, understanding, and equality.
On the occasion, the college NSS unit organized a series of activities, including an oath-taking ceremony and a slogan-writing competition, to accentuate the importance of respecting and protecting human rights in everyday lives.
Addressing the NSS volunteers, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia emphasized that understanding and upholding human rights is vital for the progress of any nation. She highlighted that when individuals are aware of their rights and responsibilities, it fosters a sense of belonging and pride in the nation. She urged everyone to pledge their commitment to champion human rights for the betterment of society.
On this occasion, NSS Programme Officers, Ms. Surbhi Sethi and Dr. Nidhi Aggarwal, along with the college staff and students, were present.
