The students of the Red Cross Unit of BBK DAV College for Women and BBK DAV Collegiate School, Amritsar, won Overall Championship Trophies at Youth Red Cross Day celebrations organised by Punjab State Red Cross Branch held at Shri Anandpur Sahib, Ropar, from 19th September to 21st September 2024. The celebrations were held to pay tribute to the invaluable contributions of Bhai Ghanayia ji to the welfare of humanity, recognizing his selfless dedication and enduring impact on humanitarian efforts.
The college team won 1st prize in Folk Song, First Aid Demonstration, Group Song, Poem Recitation and Quiz. In addition, students from BBK DAV Collegiate School secured 1st position in Poster Making and First Aid Demonstration and 2nd position in Poem Recitation, Folk Song, Group Song and Quiz.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in the future as well. Advocate Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, felicitated the winning teams. The teams were co-ordinated by Dr. Anita Narendra. Dr. Beenu Kapoor, Mr. Narinder Kumar, Mrs. Akshika Aneja and Mr. Vijay Kumar were present during these events.
