Department of Chemistry, BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar organised DBT sponsored workshop on “Synthesis and Characterization of Nanoparticles” on 2nd and 3rd August, 2019. The workshop was conducted by Dr. MS Bakshi, Assistant Professor in University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, USA.
In the workshop, on first day students of B.Sc Medical, Non-Medical and Biotech Sem-V got hands on training on the synthesis of nanomaterials and on second day, Dr. MS Bakshi trained the students about the useful knowledge of design, characterization and analytical approaches towards the broad range of nano materials transmitted through hand-on lab sessions. The focus was on the applications of nanotechnology for purification of water.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia honoured the guest with a memento. She also congratulated Dr. Poonam Khullar, Head, Department of Chemistry and other faculty members Mrs. Vandana Gupta, Ms. Rajpreet Kaur, Mrs. Lavanya Tandon, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, Ms. Ravneet Kaur, Mrs. Amandeep Kaur and Ms. Amandeep Kaur for the success of the workshop.
