BBK DAV family organized a grand fare-well function ‘Waqt-e-Rukhsat’ in its Urvi Auditorium to bless and bid a fond adieu to its outgoing students of session 2018-19. Scintillating dance performances and haunting melodies interspersed with some fun-filled games were the highlights of the cultural programme presented in the honour of outgoing college scholars.
On behalf of the outgoing batch, Head girl of the college, Ms. Swasti expressed her deep gratitude to Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and her team for being their unfailing guides, mentors and inspiration during their stay in the college.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia urged the students to uphold the lofty vedic values along with professionalism in any walk of life that they decide to choose. She called upon the students to celebrate their womanhood instead of considering it a handicap. A woman can be as successful, rather more successful than any man, if she unravels and channelizes her full potential in the way she likes. She gave her best wishes to them for their changed roles and responsibilities in the changing world.
A fashion-show consisting of 3 rounds was the real show – stopper where the young girls vied with one another to attract the eyeballs. Ms. Suvidha (MA JMC) was adjudged Miss BBK, Ms. Suvidha (BD Sem-VIII) won the 1st Runners-up position and Ms. Monika (BA JMC) 2nd Runners up. The panel of judges included Prof. Sundeep Zutshi, Dr. Simardeep and Dr. Aditi Jain.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia crowned the Beauty Queens of the college. Present on the occasion were Prof. Naresh Kumar, Dean, Youth Welfare Department and his team, and the teaching & non-teaching faculty of the college.
