Chess Team of the college emerges GNDU Champion

Chess Team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won the GNDU Inter-College Chess Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University Campus Amritsar. The college girls won this trophy by defeating DAV Jalandhar with score line of 3-1, SR Government College, Amritsar with score line of 4-0 and Draw with HMV College, Jalandhar with score line of 2-2. Ms. Devika, Mehak Khurana and Reva Gupta have been selected to represent GNDU team for Intervarsity which is going to be held at Noida (Uttar Pradesh). Team members are: Ms. Devika, Mehak Khurana, Reva Gupta and Sumanpreet Kaur.
Mr. Lakhbir Singh, Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police, Amritsar and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, Prof. Sweety Bala, Head, Physical Education Department felicitated the students and motivated them to maintain the good position in future as well. Ms. Savita Kumari, Ms. Gaganpreet Kaur and Ms. Rajdeep Kaur, teachers of the sports department also congratulated the students on their achievements.
